There is the Bands N’ Beans Festival, the Lake George Music Festival, the tasty Pancake Breakfast, the Maple Festival, the Brewfest, and so much more.
If you are in the area around February 27 and 28th make sure to stop into the Adirondack winery to try their wine tasting and special winter carnival treats. The winery will be providing complementary mulled wine cocktails and delicious home-baked cookies all week long. This is the perfect way to begin your winter excursions. Also, on Saturday the 27th between the hours of 12 to 4 there will be some tasty, sweet treats being offered at Barkeater chocolates.
An event that you will never want to miss in Lake George New York occurs on March 20. It is the Bands ’N Beans Festival. This festival will provide you with foot stomping, hot music along with all the chili you can eat. This year will be the 25th annual event and it will be held at the Roaring Brook Branch located in beautiful Lake George. This year some of the performing bands include the Nellies, PJ Ferguson, Chris Ballini, George Fletcher’s Foldin’ Money, Big Fez & the Surfmatics, Dirt Cheap, and Stony Creek Band. There will be various restaurants competing for the chili competition including Barnsider, Café Vero, Bean’s Country Store, Docksider Restaurant, East Cove restaurant, The Garrison, The Georgian, Vic’s Tavern, and many other fine restaurants. If you love chili and good music then this is one event that you will definitely not want to miss.
You know what event was voted the best annual event in 2015? It was the Lake George Music Festival. The Lake George Music Festival brought together students, faculty, alumni, professionals and various prestigious institutions together for a musical event that was not forgotten by anyone who attended. A few of the prestigious institutions that joined in with this event were the Philadelphia Orchestra, the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra, symphonies from Richmond, Kansas City, Atlanta, Dallas, Detroit, and Charlotte. Can you imagine all of the beautiful music that resonated from this annual event?
Finally on our list of exciting things to do while in LkGeorge is the annual Pancake Breakfast. This event is overseen by the talented chefs at Up Yonda Farm. The delicious tasting menu will include sausage, orange juice, coffee, and pancakes with real maple syrup. The delicious maple syrup is worth the price of admission alone. The pancake breakfast goes from 9 AM to 12:45 PM and is 7 dollars per person. Reservations will be required so you better get your reservation early.
